Why choose natural timber edging to create a bark or sand pit?
- Low Cost when you need a CFH of 3m
- Added play value as we know the children will play with the bark and the sand!
- When you need more safety surface than just the earth and grass
- When you want a safety surface that blends into the landscape
- If you have a problem with muddy areas
- When you have a slightly sloping area that you want to make level
Your Filler Options
Natural Bark Fill: Created from chunks of chipped bark. A depth of 300mm is sufficient to attain a CFH of 3m but we recommend adding an additional 200-300mm to allow for the inevitable compaction and waste.
Cushion Fall Fill: Created from long strips of shredded wood. A depth of 300mm is sufficient to attain a CFH of 3m but we recommend adding an additional 200-300mm to allow for the inevitable compaction and waste.
Loose Rubber Bark Fill: Created from recycled tyres. A depth of 300mm is sufficient to attain a CFH of 3m. It comes in multiple natural colours, is cleaner than natural bark, it won't compact like natural bark, it's quick draining and doesn't retain moisture and is non-flammable.
Sand Fill: A depth of 300mm is sufficient to attain a CFH of 3m. It offers a lot of additional play value but it will create more wear and tear on equipment surfaces and will have to be periodically disinfected.
